Cycling isn't the only issue in these elections, but it summarises a candidate's views about issues as wide-ranging as health (the National Institute for Clinical Excellence is pretty unambiguously in favour of more physical activity), the environment (bikes pollute less), the local economy (cycling keeps more money local than large foreign-owned motor dealers, among other things) and foreign policy (how much oil do we need?). Why are some parties giving billions to motor transport but only investing crumbs in cycling? Let's ask some questions!
