Consultations: you may have seen in the news that West Norfolk Borough Council has started consulting on an updated Local Plan. While the maps of suggested sites (suggested by anyone, not only the council) have had a lot of media attention, it's probably more important that cyclists answer the "scoping consultation" questions and say that good cycling routes, greenways, a decent primary cycling network and things like that are enjoyable and important to us. While getting things into the Local Plan isn't enough on its own to make sure we get them, it can make future campaigns a bit easier.

The deadline may be Monday 29 September at midnight (but some pages say it will be a day later!), so please answer quickly if you can. There are just 15 short questions, taking maybe 10 minutes, and the key ones for cycling all seem to be in the first "Scope" page, including "What are your favourite things about where you live?" and "What would make your area a better place to live?" - I'd ask for more greenways and cycle routes, to be opened before first occupation of any new homes nearby. Please don't be deterred if anything like interactive maps don't work in your browser or you don't want to answer any questions you feel are intrusive: you can still submit the forms to them even if you don't answer every question.
