GB Cycling Festival Comes to West Norfolk: 25-30 Jun

Next Thursday 27 June, the Great Britain Cycling Festival comes to West Norfolk with the National Road Racing Time Trial Championships taking place at Sandringham... and KLWNBUG will be there! Not competing in the championships, silly - but you're all champions to me - but taking a "bike train" from Lynn station to go watch the event. Join us at 0915 at the railway station front, 0925 at Lynnsport front door, 0945 at North Wootton Green phone box, 0955 at Castle Rising phone box and 1015 at Sandringham Visitor Centre.

What's a Bike Train?

Well, it's a ride with someone at the front navigating, someone at the back with a "Bike Train" sign on making sure no-one is left behind and silly "all aboard" shouts as we set off from each place. So like any other BUG ride but with added signs and sounds.

What Other Events Are Happening?

On Tuesday 25 June at 7pm (and every other Tuesday throughout the summer), there will be a "Pedal and Chat" ride setting off from Lynnsport's front door cycle parking. Very relaxed pace, short distance, interesting sights and friendly chat.

On Saturday 29 June at 10am, you can set off from Lynnsport to see another side of Sandringham and the TT course area when BUG heads off-road. See the Rides List for more details.

On Sunday 30 June, while the elite men and women's road races are setting off in Norwich, we'll be setting off for a round town ride from Lynnsport at 10am, finishing somewhere (possibly back at Lynnsport) to watch the racers on a big screen from lunchtime. Other local clubs are also running events on this day as listed on the borough council website.

So, keep pedalling, keep the rubber side down and come join in during the GB Cycling Festival!
