Happy Bike Week! 5th-11th June 2023 is the 100th UK Bike Week. To celebrate, companies
including Raleigh, Stolen Goat and Carradice are offering discounts which you can find at https://www.cyclinguk.org/bike-week-partner-offers
This year's theme is cycling to work. If you'd like to encourage others at your workplace
to give it a go, there are some ideas and resources at https://www.cyclinguk.org/bikeweek
as well as some challenges that you might like to try, or challenge others to do.
The other big news this month is that Norfolk County Council has been awarded over £2m
from the national Active Travel Fund for projects including building a cycleway link between Hunstanton and Old Hunstanton and upgrading the Edward Benefer Way and Sandringham
crossings on NCN1. More details on www.KLWNBUG.co.uk when we get them.
Cambridgeshire & Peterborough got nearly £4m but we don't know of any Fenland projects.
Similarly, Suffolk has double that but for projects far from our area. So there's plenty more opportunities for future bids.
Vicky’s Pedal and Chat rides every Tuesday evening Lynnsport 6.30pm.
Chat and plan meeting on second Thursday of the month Ferry Lane 7.45 for 8pm. See: www.KWLNBUG.co.uk for details of current campaigns and comments on development places.
