A temporary five-arch cycle park has been installed outside the old Post Office at Baxter's Plain. These replace the nine arches beside Argos which were lost to the artwork, and are "use them or lose them" racks which will be moved elsewhere if not used.
Thanks to KLWNBC for installing this cycle park and NCC for allowing it. In future, more cycle parking will be provided in the multistorey next to Sainsbury's after it's refurbished, and in the St James multistorey near the swimming pool. KLWNBUG will keep pressing for more parking, to keep pace with the increase in cycling and save people from locking less safely to road signs and streetlights.
There were five bikes in there Saturday afternoon which proves the need.
