February/March 2015 Bulletin

Hi Bugsters,

Sunday’s Snowdrop Ride to Bagthorpe Hall was breezy and bracing.  The weather forecast gave us a dry outlook until mid-afternoon, at which point in the day heavy rain was predicted.  The snowdrops were beautiful, and the following soup and tea and cake most welcome.  Bagthorpe Hall is part of the National Gardens Scheme, and proceeds for the day are paid in to the NGS Charity.  Last year The National Garden Scheme shared £2.5 million between such charities as: Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Hospices UK, Carers Trust and many others. Angela’s Ladies’ Group from Holt arrived shortly before we embarked on our return leg so we didn’t have much time for socialising with them, our concern being to get home before it started to rain. I was lucky enough to reach Dodds Hill in Dersingham as the first drops fell. I hope the Lynn contingent didn’t get too wet!
