Please share widely! Explanation from County Councillor Alex Kemp - "nearly all Borough Councillors at last Wednesday's Regeneration Panel spoke in favour of opening up Hardings Way to traffic, for the benefit of 436 flats they want on the Boal Quay. They ignored the objections of Whitefriars School I forwarded to them. This will ruin the peace and quiet of Hardings Pits which South Lynn voted in a Local poll to preserve, and the safety of children's walking route to school. Could you let me know if you, and anyone who supports South Lynn, can attend the Hardings Way Community Walk on Saturday 15 July, 11am, starting at the Bus Gate on Wisbech Road, to show the Borough how much we care about keeping this vital community asset intact?
The Borough could apply to change the Bus Lane Order even if the flats are never built, as it mistakenly thinks this will solve the town's congestion. Other towns are building new bus lanes, not putting traffic on them. We need a park and ride. Maybe two."
