Take Action! Lynnsport, Pavement Parking

On Friday, there was an information day 10:30am-8pm at Lynnsport about the new road and the changes to cycle routes in the area. KLWNBUG volunteers were there until 1pm and after 6:30pm and maybe other times. People came along and asked questions. If you couldn't go in person, you can visit virtually by going to http://www.west-norfolk.gov.uk/haveyoursay/ and clicking "consultations" before 22 September and leaving a comment to thank the councils for listening to our calls to protect the cycleway, whatever else you say.

We also asked people toconsider supporting Living Streets's call to outlaw pavement parking by visiting http://e-activist.com/ea-action/action?ea.client.id=1719&ea.campaign.id=31484&ea.tracking.id=klwnbug and emailing MPs before 11 September. Pavements blocked by cars push pedestrians into conflict with other road users (including cycle riders), damage the paths and it's often a frustating pass-the-buck experience between councils and police if you try to get it stopped. It's already mostly illegal in London - let's make it the same in Lynn.

Meanwhile, KLWNBUG's relaxed guided rides continue: to see what's coming soon, see the September Rides List.
